Devotee Beaten Up At Barsana's Radha Rani Temple, Complaint Filed

While standing in the queue to get a ticket from the ticket counter, the man saw the security guards deployed for the ropeway arrangement letting some people in from the exit gate.

A devotee has alleged that the guards at the Radha Rani temple in Barsana beat him up. The Mumbai resident reached the town on Saturday along with his family members, the police said.

He decided to reach the temple situated on a hill at a height of about 200 metres with the help of a ropeway.

While standing in the queue to get a ticket from the ticket counter, the man saw the security guards deployed for the ropeway arrangement letting some people in from the exit gate. When he protested, the guards allegedly beat him and his family members.

The allegation will be verified by checking the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the ropeway ticket premises, the police added.

Last week, a viral video showed a clash between devotees and priests over offering prasad to the deity at the Banke Bihari temple in Mathura. The dispute started from verbal abuse to violence and then a fight of kicks and punches started.
