6 Dead, 3 Injured As Speeding Car Heading To Wedding Rams Into Tree In UP’s Kushinagar

The horrific road accident occurred at Bhujouli crossroads in the Nebua Naurangiya police station area of Kushinagar on late Sunday evening.

Six people died and three others were injured after a speeding Brezza car carrying wedding guests lost control and crashed into a roadside tree in Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh late Sunday evening. The horrific road accident occurred at Bhujouli crossroads in the Nebua Naurangiya police station area of Kushinagar. The impact was so severe that the car's body was completely crushed.

Locals who reached the site after the incident used gas cutters to cut through the mangled vehicle and rescue those trapped inside. Upon receiving information, the Nebua Naurangiya police reached the scene and sent the injured to the district hospital.

After the doctor discovered their condition was critical, they referred them to Gorakhpur Medical College. The Superintendent of Police also visited the scene late at night to inspect the situation.

Airbags Failed To Deploy

The Brezza car, bearing registration number UP32JC6660, was travelling at a high speed from Padrauna to Khadda. At Bhujouli crossroads under the Nebua Naurangiya police station, the car went out of control due to overspeeding and collided with an Ashoka tree by the roadside.

The impact was so powerful that the car's front portion was completely crushed, and even the airbags failed to deploy. All the passengers were trapped inside due to the mangled structure.

Hearing the loud crash, nearby residents rushed to the spot and struggled to cut open the car using iron rods and gas cutters. Five bodies were recovered from the car, while three injured passengers were sent to the district hospital by ambulance. One of the injured died soon after reaching the hospital.

An Aadhaar card found in one victim’s pocket showed an address from Maharashtra, while the identities of the other victims remain unknown. Police have taken possession of the bodies and sent them for postmortem.

Reportedly, the car's occupants were traveling from Narayanpur Chargaha in Ramkola police station area to Devgaon under the Nebua Naurangiya police station for a wedding.
