Water Tanker Loses Control, Flips On Road While Trying To Overtake Truck In Bengaluru—On Cam

A water tanker lost control and flipped onto the open road while overtaking the truck in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle while turning left from the edge of the road.

According to a report by NDTV, the incident occurred in the afternoon near Dommasandra. The water tanker was travelling from Varthur to Dommasandra, and had covered hardly a distance of eight kilometres. 

A rear dash cam captured the moment of the crash, showing the water tanker losing control, tipping over to its left side, and eventually coming to a halt at a road intersection. The impact caused the tank to rupture, spilling water across the road.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident.

The truck following the tanker managed to brake in time, narrowly avoiding a collision. Both the driver and a passenger in the tanker sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

Karnataka Family's Car Flips 15 Times In High-Speed Crash

In a separate incident, on April 2, three persons died and two others suffered injuries after a car flipped 15 times and crashed on National Highway 150A between Challakere and Ballari. The crash, which occurred near Bommakkanahalli Majid in Chitradurga district’s Molakalmuru taluk, was so severe that the vehicle violently ejected passengers mid-air.

The deceased have been identified as three members of the same family--Maula, Sameer, and Rehman--who died on the spot. All victims were residents of Yadgir district, Karnataka. The deceased include two children.

Authorities were investigating the cause of the accident. The preliminary reports suggest high speed may have been a factor.
