Heavy Rain Alert For 5 Districts In Bihar Today. Check Weather Forecast For Patna

An orange alert has also been issued for several western and eastern districts, including West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Buxar, Kaimur and Rohtas.

The southwest monsoon has yet to establish itself in Bihar fully, but weather officials anticipate its progression across all districts between June 18 (Wednesday) and 19 (Thursday), bringing widespread rainfall. On Tuesday, cloud cover is expected across the state, with chances of rainfall in most areas. However, a heavy rain alert has been issued for five districts in North Bihar.

According to the Meteorological Centre in Patna, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj may experience heavy rainfall today. Wind speeds in these areas could reach 40–50 km/h, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

Orange & Yellow Alert In Bihar

An orange alert has also been issued for several western and eastern districts, including West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Buxar, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Bhojpur, Arwal, Banka, Jamui, Munger, Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Katihar, Madhepura, and Saharsa. These areas may see light to moderate rainfall, along with gusty winds reaching 40–50 km/h and the possibility of thunder and lightning.

Patna, Vaishali, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Nalanda, Jehanabad, Gaya, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Begusarai, and Lakhisarai are under a yellow alert, with light rain or drizzle expected. Wind speeds in these regions may reach 30–40 km/h.

No district recorded extreme rainfall on Monday. Siwan received the highest rainfall at 35.2 mm, followed by Rohtas (30 mm), Purnia (27.4 mm), Gopalganj (25.4 mm), and West Champaran (15.4 mm). Other districts recorded minimal rainfall.

Temperature levels remained largely unchanged from Sunday. Chhapra recorded the highest temperature at 41.01°C, followed by Dehri in Rohtas at 40.02°C. Patna registered a maximum of 38.6°C, with the state’s average temperature hovering around 37°C.
