A major fire broke out in Noida’s Sector 2 on Friday morning, with thick smoke seen rising above nearby sectors. Fire tenders were rushed to the scene, and firefighting operations are currently underway.

So far, no casualties have been reported. The cause of the blaze is yet to be determined. Residents in the vicinity shared visuals of the smoke and flames on social media platforms.

Noida, part of the National Capital Region (NCR), shares its border with Delhi.

More information is awaited on the extent of the damage and the possible cause of the incident.

Earlier this week, a separate fire tragedy claimed four lives in Delhi’s Rithala area. A four-storey building housing several manufacturing units caught fire on Tuesday evening, leading to a massive firefighting operation that lasted nearly 15 hours and involved around 100 personnel. The fire was brought under control by 10 am Wednesday.

As per a PTI report, Delhi Fire Services suggested that the blaze may have been triggered by a suspected self-immolation attempt. However, Delhi Police have not confirmed this and are awaiting a detailed report to establish the cause.

Noida factory fire: "We received an information at 5.30 am about fire in a paint thinner company.  We immediately rushed two fire tenders. After assessing the situation, we called fire tenders from other districts as well. As many as 25 fire tenders are currently involved in operations. We are using latest equipment to control the blaze. Our teams worked hard and ensured that neighbouring building are not affected by fire. We are assessing the reasons of fire. No one has been injured in the incident," says Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar.

According to our on ground reporter the fire erupted in a godown of cosmetic products like thinners, nail polish and other things. The fire services were inquired at 5:30 AM in the morning.
