Two Killed In Late-Night Building Collapse In Delhi's Burari Area
A four-storey building collapsed in Delhi's Burari area, killing two people. Rescue operations are underway to save around 20 people trapped under the rubble.

Burari Building Collapse News: The building collapse in Delhi's Burari area has caused at least two deaths. The four-storey building collapsed late on Monday. Around 20 people were feared trapped under the rubble, following which rescue operations were launched. So far, 12 people have been rescued.

The newly constructed Kaushik Enclave built over 200 square yards collapsed around 6:30 PM on Monday. The Delhi Police has confirmed only two deaths so far, reported news agency ANI.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari rushed to the spot and took stock of the rescue operations in Burari. He said: "A 4-storey building has collapsed after the construction was complete, this raises a lot of questions... The police and the NDRF have said that there is a possibility of some people still being stuck... Whoever is responsible will not be spared...but right now our priority is to rescue all the people..."

CM Atishi assured of all help in the rescue operation. Taking to X, she wrote: "This incident of building collapse in Burari is extremely sad. I have spoken to the local administration to ensure speedy relief and rescue operations. All possible help will be provided to the affected people."
