According to officials, power supply will be suspended from 9 AM to 4 PM in areas served by the Kavundampalayam substation. The scheduled outage is part of routine infrastructure upkeep aimed at ensuring uninterrupted and safer power distribution in the coming weeks.

As per The Times of India, the affected localities include Housing Board, AR Nagar, Thamami Nagar, Driver Colony, Samundeswari Nagar, Suguna Nagar, Union Road, Ashok Nagar, Murugan Nagar, and Bharathi Nagar.

Residents in these neighbourhoods are advised to plan their day accordingly — charge electronic devices in advance, keep emergency lights or power backups ready, and schedule any critical work or appointments outside the blackout window.
