Keep backup options like candles, battery-operated lamps, or inverters ready.

Unplug sensitive appliances like televisions, computers, dish washer, laptops, mobile phones and refrigerators to prevent damage from voltage fluctuations when power resumes. Plan ahead for perishable food items and avoid opening refrigerators frequently. If you rely on medical devices, ensure backup power or alternative arrangements are in place.
