Mustafabad Building Collapse That Killed 4 Caught On Cam

So far, 18 people have been rescued. Unfortunately four people have died, while 14 are admitted to hospital. Eight to ten people are still feared trapped.

Four people died and nearly ten others are feared to be trapped under the debris of a building that collapsed in Delhi's Mustafabad area on Saturday. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday between 2:30 and 3:00 AM.

The rescue operation is still underway to pull out the remaining trapped people from under the debris. According to the Delhi Police, 18 people have been rescued so far and sent to hospital, where they are being treated for their injuries. Four of them succumbed to their injuries

Amid this, a CCTV footage has come to the fore, showing the exact moment when the building collapsed early Saturday. Visuals shows dust billowing into the air, obscuring the view as the building turned into rubble.

After receiving a call about the house collapse at 2:50 AM, the fire department officials reached the spot and launched a rescue operation. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and police teams also reached the spot along with a dog squad to carry out a rescue operation.

"The Delhi Fire Service had received the call. Later, the NDRF and police were also called. So far, 18 people have been rescued. Unfortunately four people have died, while 14 are admitted to hospital. At present, two NDRF teams, fire service are involved in the rescue operation. Eight to ten people are still feared trapped," North East District Additional DCP Sandeep Lama said.

Informing about the incident, Fire Officer, Division Officer Rajendra Athwal said: "We received a call about a house collapse at around 2:50 AM. When our initial teams arrived, they observed that the entire building had collapsed, and we received information that people were trapped under the debris. Our teams are currently working at the scene.

The NDRF, Delhi Fire Service, and various civil agencies are jointly carrying out rescue operations to save those trapped."
