Bihar: 8 Injured Including Women And Children As Speeding Bus Rams Into E-Rickshaw In Nalanda
Bihar news: The e-rickshaw they were travelling in was completely damaged in the accident.
Eight people were injured in Bihar's Nalanda district after the e-rickshaw they were travelling in was hit by a speeding bus. Four women and a child were among the injured who were on their way for Ganga snan on the occasion of Jitiya.
The incident took place near Harnaut bazaar in which the e-rickshaw was completely damaged.
On Monday, Vaishali MP Veena Devi's son Rahul Raj died after his motorcycle was hit by another vehicle in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district, said the police.
The accident took place near Saraiya, said the police, adding that the vehicle which was a two-wheeler was yet to be identified, reported PTI.
Police reached the spot immediately after receiving the information, they said. Raj was taken to the nearest government hospital where he was declared dead. "His body has been sent for the post-mortem and an investigation is underway," Deputy SP Kumar Chandan said.
Raj's father Dinesh Prasad Singh is an MLC from Janata Dal (United) while his mother is a Lok Sabha MP from Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas).
Last month, a man was killed after a speeding truck hit his bike under the Noorsarai police station limits. The man was taking his sister who was supposed to appear for a recruitment exam of the Bihar police. The woman was also badly injured in the accident. She was later referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital.
Following the accident, the truck driver fled the spot and the police launched an operation to nab the driver.
