Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary Gets Death Threat: 'Will Shoot Within 24 Hours'
Bihar's Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary received a death threat via WhatsApp, prompting a police investigation.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary received a death threat on Sunday. The threat was sent via WhatsApp to one of his supporters from an unknown number. The message read:
"Hello sir, I will shoot Samrat Choudhary within 24 hours. I’m telling the truth."
Following the message, the supporter lodged a complaint with the police.
The threat message was sent on Saturday night to the phone of a political worker. After the complaint was filed, the police began tracing the unknown number and are now searching for the culprit based on it.

All security personnel assigned to Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary have been alerted about the threat and are now on high alert.
When asked about the threat on Sunday, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said that the people of Bihar know and that we are committed to the development of Bihar.
"The people of Bihar know that we are committed to the development of Bihar and will continue to be so in the future," Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said, as quoted by news agency ANI.
The assembly election in poll-bound Bihar is scheduled to be held by the year's end. However, no announcement has been made yet by the Election Commission of India.
