Bihar: Bar Dancers, Band Called To Govt School By 'Baraatis' In Saharsa, Probe On
A band and a few bar dancers were called to a government primary school by some men in Bihar's Saharsa district on Tuesday evening.
In a shocking incident, a government school in Bihar's Saharsa district was allegedly turned into a venue for an orchestra, with drunk people engaging in celebrations as young women performed vulgar dance performances.
According to a report by NDTV, officials said a band and a few bar dancers had been called to a government primary school by some men for their entertainment on Tuesday evening (September 24).
The school comes under the jurisdiction of Jalai police station area in the district. Officials said that the men were part of a ‘baraat' (wedding procession) and were staying on the primary school premises.
In the video, at least four women can be seen doing vulgar dance to Bhojpuri songs. Among the people gathered there, some of the men can be seen dancing with the women. They are clearly drunk. The video is now going viral on social media.
As the video surfaced, the residents of the area raised concern over it and questioned how the school administration could allow a celebration like this in the premises.
Jalai police station in-charge Mamta Kumari clarified that the police had not granted permission for any such event to be held at the school. Further invesigation into the incident is underway as police is trying to figure out who gave permission for the event.
"The viral video has come to our notice. We are carrying out an investigation," she said.
The incident comes just days after a dance performance at a Chennai medical conference went viral on September 24. The video of the vulgar performace was from the annual conference of the Association of Colon and Rectal Surgeons of India. It showed female dancers sharing the floor with several delegates of the conference.
However, some of them tried to pull the dancer close to them by holing her hand.
