Car Tries To Overtake, Crashes Into Stationary Bus In Ahmedabad; 1 Killed, 2 Injured — Caught On Cam

The incident averted a major incident as the car hit the right side of the bus, escaping without injuring around 10 to 12 passengers who were boarding from the other side.

A tragic accident in Ahmedabad, the capital city of Gujarat, claimed one life and left two others injured after a speeding car collided with a bus picking up passengers at a bus stand. The incident was captured on CCTV and surfaced on social media.

In the CCTV footage, it is seen that a bus stops at the bus stand to pick up passengers. As another bus passes by the stationary bus, a speeding car attempts to overtake by squeezing between both buses. However, it loses control and crashes into the rear end of the stationary bus.

The incident averted a major incident as the car hit the right side of the bus, escaping without injuring around 10 to 12 passengers who were boarding from the other side. The impact was so forceful that the bus pushed about 8 to 10 feet, according to a report by India Today.

The vehicle, XUV 700, had two people inside at the time of the collision. During the incident, the passenger lost his life, and the driver, whose condition was critical, was taken to the nearest hospital 

Following the accident, local residents alerted the Ahmedabad police, municipal authorities, and fire brigade, who arrived promptly at the scene. Eyewitnesses claimed to have spotted a liquor bottle inside the car. The police later confirmed finding a broken bottle and collected blood samples from both individuals to determine if they were intoxicated. Legal action will follow if alcohol consumption is confirmed.

The bus driver, Pranavsingh Chavda, has officially lodged a complaint regarding the incident.

Food Delivery Agent Dead As Car Rams Motorcycle In South Delhi

A 30-year-old food delivery agent lost his life after a car rammed into his motorcycle near Dilip Singh Marg in south Delhi on Monday (March 24), an official said. Around 2 a.m., Hauz Khas police station received a PCR call about a car accident, an official stated, news agency PTI reported.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found that a taxi driver, 20-year-old Chamanpreet Singh from Lado Sarai, had lost control of his vehicle and struck a pedestrian.  

The victim, Chandrahas Yadav, originally from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh and residing in Chirag, Delhi, sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, the official added.
