PM Modi Hails COVID-19 Relief Package; Says "Reforms Will Revitalise Village Economy"

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the measures and reforms planned by the Finance Ministry. He said that the announcements made by Sitharaman will surely boost entrepreneurship, help public sector units and revitalise the village economy. Reform trajectories of the states will also get an impetus.

Hours after Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sithraman unveiled the fifth and final tranche of Economic Stimulus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the measures and reforms planned by the Finance Ministry. Taking to his official Twitter account on Sunday, Prime Minister said that the announcements made by Sitharaman will surely boost entrepreneurship, help public sector units and revitalise the village economy. Reform trajectories of the states will also get an impetus. "Measures and reforms announced by the FM today will have a transformative impact on our health and education sectors. They will boost entrepreneurship, help public sector units and revitalise the village economy. Reform trajectories of the states will also get an impetus," PM Modi tweeted. The package made public on Sunday by the Finance Minister is part of Rs 20 lakh crore Atmanirbhar Bharat announced by the PM. Announcements were made about 7 measures taken by the central govt to help MGNREGA, health & education sector, businesses, decriminalization of Companies Act, ease of doing business, public sector enterprises and state govt resources Commenting on the same, Union Home Minister Amit Shah called the mega stimulus push announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman a game changer in health, education and business sectors. Expressing his views in a series of tweets, Shah said: "Today's announcements by the Modi government will go a long way in realizing the idea of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'. These steps will prove to be a game changer for health, education & business sectors, which will provide employment to crores of poor. I thank PM Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman." In another tweet, Shah said:
