LPG Rates: Price Of Commercial LPG Cylinder In Delhi Reduced By Rs 25.5 — Check Prices In Other Cities

Oil marketing companies have reduced the price of commercial LPG cylinders. Know city-wise rates here.

New Delhi: The price of a commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has been reduced by Rs 25.5 with effect from Saturday. With this latest revision in prices, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will cost Rs 1,860, instead of Rs 1,885 in Delhi. 

The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder was cut to Rs 1,859.50 in the national capital from Rs 1,885, news agency PTI reported citing a price notification from state-owned fuel retailers.

Prices of domestic cylinders will, however, continue to remain unchanged at Rs 1,053 per 14.2-kg cylinder. This is because the rates of domestic cooking gas were way lower than cost and now with a drop in international prices, they are at breakeven, PTI reported industry sources as saying.

Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices In Other Cities

In Kolkata, a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1,959 instead of Rs 1,995.50, in Mumbai the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will cost Rs 1,811.50 instead of Rs 1,844 and in Chennai, the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will cost Rs 2,009.50 instead of Rs 2,045 from today, according to a report by The Mint.

This is the sixth reduction in the price of commercial LPG since June, in step with softening international energy prices.

On September 1, Oil marketing companies reduced the price of per unit commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 91.50. On August 1 too, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders were reduced by Rs 36. Prior to that, on July 6, rates for the 19-kilogram commercial cylinder were cut by Rs 8.5 per unit.

In all, rates have come down by Rs 494.50 per 19-kg cylinder.

On July 6, prices of domestic liquid petroleum gas cylinders weighing 14.2 kgs were raised by Rs 50 per unit. Previously, the prices for domestic cylinders were revised on May 19, 2022.

Rates differ from state to state depending on the local VAT.

ATF Price Cut 4.5%

The rates of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) have been cut marginally by 4.5 per cent.

According to PTI, Jet fuel price was cut by Rs 5,521.17, or 4.5 per cent, to Rs 115,520.27 per kl in the national capital.

Meanwhile, Petrol and diesel prices have continued to remain on freeze for a record near six months. Petrol costs Rs 96.72 per litre in the national capital and diesel comes for Rs 89.62.
