While there are many cryptocurrencies to explore, Bitcoin (BTC) is the most popular as it is the world's oldest and most valued crypto coin. As of November 25, Bitcoin price stood at $16,715.20, as per CoinMarketCap data. At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap stood at $828.42 billion, registering a gain of 1.21 percent in the last 24 hours. 

While cryptocurrency is unregulated in India, cryptocurrencies are clubbed under virtual digital assets (VDAs). Under the new tax regime that went into effect on April 1, 2022, VDAs attract taxation of 30 percent on gains. A TDS of 1 percent is applied on top of that.

Cryptocurrency Price Today: BinaryX Becomes Top Gainer

Ethereum (ETH), the second-most valued cryptocurrency in the world, slid below the $1,200 mark, resuming in bull run after a day of minor gains. Bitcoin (BTC), on the other hand, managed to remain stable within the $16,000 range as the overall market saw a dip in prices across the board. Popular altcoins — including the likes of Dogecoin (DOGE), Ripple (XRP), Solana (SOL), and Litecoin (LTC) — saw a mix of gains and dips over the last 24 hours. The BinaryX (BNX) token became the top gainer on early Friday morning, with a 24-hour jump of over 8 percent.
