'This Budget Is Full Of New Possibilities': PM Modi On FM Sitharaman's Union Budget 2022

Budget 2022: Soon after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the Union Budget 2022-23 in Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed it to be "a Budget full of possibilities."
"This budget is full of new possibilities of more infrastructure, more investment, more growth, and more jobs," the Prime Minister said.
PM Modi also said that for the first time in the country, the Parvatmala scheme is being started for such areas as Himachal, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, North East.
"This plan will build a modern system of transportation on the mountains," he added.
PM further said that the Budget has brought new confidence of development in the midst of 100 years of terrible calamity adding that along with strengthening the economy, it will create many new opportunities for common man.
"An important aspect of this budget is the welfare of the poor. Every poor person should have a pucca house, water from tap, toilet, gas facility, all these have been given special attention," Prime Minister said.
"An important step has been taken for the welfare of the farmers along with the faith of the people of India, the cleaning of Mother Ganga. Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, in these five states, along the banks of the Ganges, natural farming will be encouraged," he added.
PM Modi also pointed out that in this budget, along with a record increase in credit guarantee, many other schemes have been announced. "India's MSME sector will also get huge benefit of reserving 68% of Defense's capital budget to domestic industry," he said.
Summing up his speech, PM Modi thanked FM Sitharaman and her entire team "for this people friendly and progressive budget".
