The Venue and Nexon share many features that are common and expected these days like a single-pane sunroof, climate control and wireless charging. But what makes them unique?
The trickling down of premium features and technology has come to the below 4m SUV space that happens to be the new battleground. Tata revealed the new Nexon armed with loads of new features, as did Hyundai which updated the Venue with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). So which SUV is better equipped? Let's find out.
The Venue and Nexon share many features which are common and expected these days like a single pane sunroof, climate control, wireless charging, touchscreen and connected car tech. The Venue has an 8-inch screen when compared to the Nexon's 10.25-inch screen (with wireless smartphone connectivity). Both SUVs have a digital cluster but the Nexon has a full customisable layout including putting the navigation across the dials.
The more talked about features include the Nexon being a 360-degree camera with front parking sensors and a blind view monitor, air purifier and ventilated seats. The Venue has built-in navigation with a simpler rear camera, it has electric seat adjustment for the driver and sounds of nature which plays soothing sounds. It also has an air purifier like the Nexon. Both have connected car tech with OTA updates plus features like cooled glove boxes are also there.
The Nexon has a premium 8-speaker JBL audio system and 6 airbags as standard while the Venue gets ADAS level 1 features and a dash cam while 6 airbags are available upward in the range along with a 6-speaker audio system.
Both SUVs offer a turbo petrol with drive modes, both also offer a dual clutch automatic with paddle shifters.
Hence, both SUVs are well equipped and it depends on what features you prioritise with the Venue getting more comfort features like 2-step recline and power adjust while the Nexon focuses more on tech like a 360 degree camera and a bigger screen.
