Ola S1 Pro MoveOS 3 Review: Living With This Fast Electric Scooter

Ola S1 Pro MoveOS 3 Review: The latest MoveOS3 update unlocks a lot of features and some of them are very useful.

There is little doubt that the S1 Pro is quick and thrives in the city at its natural habitat. We had this fast electric scooter for a long time and the acceleration along with the ease of use was a highlight but we also got the latest update which was quite easy to install. The latest MoveOS3 update was extremely fuss free to install and took no time but not being complicated. This update unlocks a lot of features and some of them are very useful.

The third version of its OS has been an update which has been coming for a long time and the best feature we felt was the regenerative braking which means that the S1 Pro has three levels of regeneration. Performance is quicker than the scooter with the OS2 version along with better spaced out riding modes. All of the regen modes felt natural without being too intrusive while the scooter clearly feels quicker.

The Hyper mode is the most fun and that's where you unlock all of the power. We did most of our riding with this mode and it felt better than the other two modes. In terms of range, you can get around 80km and then there is also the Hypercharging feature where 50km worth of charge is added in just 15 minutes.

With the latest MoveOS3 update there is fast charging capability and that means Ola is adding more fast chargers around cities. Hence, you do not need to carry a portable charger while lowering charging times. At the moment, the numbers are low but more of them are being added and they are useful when in need of a quick charge.

Then there is also the 'party mode' where it lights up along with music while being a talking point for sure. So if you play a song, all of the lights blink on the scooter!

Then you can change the theme of the touchscreen too with three new themes with each one having a different look. Our favourite one is the vintage theme. Also the screen will display more information now too.

The proximity lock/unlock mode is also something which was needed as you no longer need to enter a passcode every time you unlock it. Hence, now the scooter senses you are walking away/to it and locks/unlocks.

If you are travelling and not using the scooter for sometime, the 'vacation mode' comes in handy where you can avoid discharge of the battery. Then you can set multiple profiles for different riders too.

Hence, with all of these features the Ola S1 Pro is a much more rounded offering and the riding experience is also better with this update.
