Inside though the Gurkha 5-door is expected to remain quite functional and the Thar 5-door Armada will be a lot more premium with more features being added from the Thar 3-door

Two 4x4s are coming soon but the crucial similarity here is that both are going to be the more practical 5-door versions of the same. The Thar and the Gurkha are already on sale via their 3-door form but now they will gain a new variant aimed at getting more buyers thanks to being more practical.

The Gurkha 5 door and the Thar Armada will also get some changes over their 3-door versions especially in terms of the headlamps and the grille. Both of these SUVs look butch and will add considerable length with a longer wheelbase.

The Thar 5-door Armada will also offer a 4x2 version along with a 4x4 to broaden its appeal amongst buyers while the Gurkha will offer a more hardcore 4x4 experience with no automatic on offer.

Hence, these two SUVs are different but also at heart are 4x4s with a lot of off-road ability. That said, the Thar 5-door seems like a more rounded proposition with more comforts being added in along with more convenience.
