Pakistan: Probe begins as minor girl working in minister's house dies
Peshawar (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) [Pakistan], Jan. 29 (ANI): Police in Pakistan's northwestern region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have launched an investigation after a minor girl, working in the house of a provincial minister, has died recently, The Express Tribune reported.
The 11-year-old-girl, who was working at the minister's residence along with her elder sister, reportedly became ill after eating some fruits on January 25.
She was admitted to a local hospital, where she did not recover and passed away.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Inspector General Police (IGP) Salahuddin Mehsud on Sunday directed the Abbottabad police to launch a probe into the death of the girl.
However, on the basis of initial investigation, police did not suspect any foul play in the death of the girl, who reportedly had a hereditary breathing problem.
Her brother also died due to the same problem a month ago.
A case has not been registered in this regard and authorities are awaiting medical report of the deceased. (ANI)
