Nepal PM Oli to embark on China visit next month
Kathmandu [Nepal], May 19 (ANI): Nepal Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli will be visiting China next month, the state-news Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) agency reported.
Prime Minister Oli made the revelation after he was unanimously elected as the Parliamentary Party Leader of the newly formed Nepal Communist Party after the merger of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML) and the Maoist Center this week.
The Nepal Prime Minister said that the relations of Nepal with India and China was improving constantly relying on the base of balanced diplomacy and national sovereignty and will be visiting China after one month, the RSS stated in its news without further details.
Along with this, Prime Minister Oli also made the commitment to activate the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) and other regional and international organisations.
Prime Minister Oli assumed office in mid-February this year and started his maiden foreign visit to India in April. About a month after the Nepal Prime Minister's visit to India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came to Nepal on a two-day state visit last week. (ANI)
