Japan envisions entry into India, ASEAN markets

Tokyo [Japan], July 18 (ANI): With an aim to promote Japanese products and technology, an interaction between representatives of Japanese firms and media persons from India and ASEAN countries was held in Tokyo on Wednesday.

Catch Asia-Media Network introduced the activities of prominent Japanese companies and tourism of Japan. This network is constituted by representative TV stations and news agencies in India, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao and Myanmar, and organised by Japan International Broadcasting.

In this event, presenters from various countries reported about prominent political and social event in each country and the economic activity of Japanese companies.

Suhana Sulatman, Assistant Director of Radio Television Malaysia reported a big change of political force and also suggested that the Japanese companies will have more opportunity under Mahathir's government.

From Thailand, Worrapol Phutjoye of the MCOT TV cited the death of the King and the new enthronement as the biggest event in the country.

All prominent broadcasters expressed condolence in the program and celebration of the new enthronement. Also, the Social Networking Service (SNS) strategy of MCOT TV attracted Japanese audience.

Rahmat Ibrahim, a news producer of KOMPAS TV of Indonesia, analysed the big economic growth, saying it will certify business opportunities for the Japanese company.

He said that the Mass Rapid Transit system transports around 300,000 passengers per day and had solved the heavy traffic congestion problem. He stressed importance on two big events, the Asian games 2018 and the upcoming elections in 2019.

From Vietnam, Nguyen Thi Minh Ha of Vietnam Television was in attendance with two consultants.

She explained the success of Catch Asia-Media Network program. This half-an-hour program attracted the audience and initiated business relation intermediated by the consulting company.

She also said Catch Asia-Media Network should continue for a decade.

National TV of Cambodia dispatched Chey Sorphea, Deputy Director-General. He analyzed several Japanese companies' activities in Cambodia.

To enrich social life and make health growing of Cambodian economy more cooperation of Japanese company is important, he explained.

Shigeaki Suda, Senior Producer of JIB explained Kid's TV program in Vietnam. It aims to provide good education for kids through TV broadcasting. Other countries guest has a strong concern for this project.

Meanwhile, a presenter from India spoke about Indo-Japanese relations, which stems from the close friendship of the Prime Ministers of both countries.

He also stated that sustaining this environment would help in providing good business opportunities to Japanese companies.(ANI)
