Donald Trump, Alec Baldwin gets into Twitter war
Washington D.C. [USA], Mar. 3 (ANI): The President of United States Donald Trump and Comedian Alec Baldwin on Friday engaged in a Twitter war after the former mocked the comedian for impersonating him on the show 'Saturday Night Live'.
Trump took to his Twitter account to call Alec a mediocre comedian and said that the latter's career was saved by impersonating the President.
He further compared Alec to comedian Darrell Hammond and demanded to bring back the latter to 'Saturday Night Live' show.
He tweeted, "Alec Baldwin, whose dying mediocre career was saved by his terrible impersonation of me on SNL, now says playing me was agony. Alec, it was agony for those who were forced to watch. Bring back Darrell Hammond, funnier and a far greater talent!"
Initially, the President misspelt the Alec as Alex but later fixed up the error.
Baldwin, who made his debut on SNL as Trump during the 2016 campaign, quickly shot back in a series of tweets.
"Agony though it may be, I'd like to hang in there for the impeachment hearings, the resignation speech, the farewell helicopter ride to Mara-A-Lago. You know. The Good Stuff. That we've all been waiting for," the actor tweeted.
Next, he wrote, "Looking forward to the Trump Presidential Library. A putting green. Recipes for chocolate cake. A live Twitter feed for visitors to post on. A little black book w the phone numbers of porn stars. You're in and out in five minutes. Just like..." (ANI)
