Death toll rises to 305 in Egypt mosque attack

Cairo [Egypt], November 25 (ANI): The death toll rose to 305 while more than a 100 were wounded after terrorists stormed a packed mosque in the Bir al-Abd region of north Sinai on Friday.

Egypt has declared three days of national mourning in the wake of the terrorist attack.

An explosion reportedly took place inside the mosque when worshippers were carrying out their afternoon prayers.

Following the explosion, gunmen arrived in cars and opened fire at the fleeing crowd.

According to sources, most of the people who came for prayers were friends and family of the security forces.

The injured have been rushed to hospital.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. (ANI)
