India-Syria-West Asia: With the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria earlier this month, coupled with the increasing strategic moves being undertaken by Israel, India’s security interests might get “seriously jeopardised” if New Delhi — along with China and others — does not intervene and play a major diplomatic role with Tel Aviv, according to Talmiz Ahmad, former Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Oman.
