Twarit Rajya: Maharana Pratap proved it wasn't Akbar, but he who was 'great': Yogi Adityanath

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has yet again taken a snipe on a Mughal ruler, saying it wasn’t Akbar, but Maharana Pratap, who was ‘great’.

While addressing the students of Institute of Management Research and Technology in Lucknow, Yogi said “Akbar asked Maharana Pratap to accept him as 'badshah' & that then he won't interfere in his kingdom Mewar. Maharana Pratap said we can't accept a 'vidharmi' & a foreigner as our ruler. Maharana proved it wasn't Akbar, but he who was great, by winning back his forts.”

This comes days after CM Yogi stole headlines for changing the name of Mughalsarai railway station to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Station.
