In the Women's T20 World Cup 2024, India secured a six-wicket victory against Pakistan. Harmanpreet Kaur led from the front with a captain's knock, while Shafali Verma also made a notable contribution. Pakistan’s poor start continued as Shafali scored 32 runs off 35 balls, and Jemimah Rodrigues added 23 runs. Richa Ghosh struggled with form, getting out for a duck. Indian bowlers excelled, with Shanka Patil claiming three wickets for just 19 runs in four overs. Renuka Singh and Deepti Sharma each took a wicket. With two points in hand, the Indian women's team faces Sri Lanka and Australia next, needing to win both matches to enhance their chances for the semifinals.
