After the Test series against Australia, India and Bangladesh are set to play a two-match T20 series, but the BCCI has yet to announce the Indian team. Reports indicate that the team will be selected by the end of this week. Several players who participated in the Test series, including wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and fast bowlers Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah, are likely to be rested. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill may also sit out due to a subsequent Test series against New Zealand. Meanwhile, young talents like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Riyan Parag, Harshit Rana, and Abhishek Sharma are expected to receive opportunities. Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan, who has been out for almost a year, is anticipated to return and could play in the middle order for this series.
