President Trump is a close friend of India: PM Modi

New York: PM Modi during bilateral meet with US President says, "I'm very thankful to President Trump that he came to Houston & gave so much of his time. It was a very proud moment for the Indians living in US. I express my heartfelt gratitude to President Trump for this" 

 US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that he feels Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the message on terrorism to Pakistan "loud and clear" through the 'Howdy, Modi!' event, adding that it would be great if both India and Pakistan can "take care of Kashmir".

Trump, who a day ago said that he was open to mediate on Kashmir during his bilateral with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, appeared to backtrack on Tuesday, and sounded cautious on the issue, saying that it would be great if Modi and Imran Khan can sit down and work out the issue.
