US: COVID-19 related fatalities surge past 30,000
Coronavirus related fatalities in the United States continued to surge even as President Donald Trump announced a phased approach to ease restrictions of movement. Trump made the remarks during a news conference on Wednesday. He claimed that data shows that the United States has "passed the peak" of COVID-19 cases nationwide. Donald Trump said he has instructed his administration to halt World Health Organisation's funding while a review is being conducted in the WHO's "role in severely mismanaging and covering up" the spread of COVID-19.
