SC indicates to hand over investigation of Lakhimpur case to other institution | Audio Bulletin

The Supreme Court today took a dig at the UP government for not arresting Ashish Mishra, the main accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. The court asked, "If the accused was a common person, would the police have the same attitude towards him?''

While directing the police to take swift action, a bench headed by the Chief Justice also indicated that the investigation may be handed over to some other institution.
