Senior Congress leader and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath is expected to mediate in the Rajasthan crisis and will meet party chief Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on Monday, as per sources by PTI. Kamal Nath has close ties with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and could be asked to mediate a truce, reports PTI. 

The develpment comes after nearly 90 MLAs in Rajasthan threatened to resign, saying they want Ashok Gehlot, the front-runner for the post of Congress national president, to remain Chief Minister. Rahul Gandhi ruled out the possibility, saying the party will follow the "one man, one vote" rule.
