In a tragic incident this morning in West Bengal, the Kanchanjunga Express, which was halted between Rangapani and Nijbari, was struck from behind by a freight train. The collision resulted in significant damage to three coaches of the Kanchanjunga Express. Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene, and rescue operations are ongoing. Initial reports confirm that 5 passengers lost their lives, and 25 others sustained injuries. Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision, while the injured have been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
