Weather Updates: No respite from scorching heat in sight as Delhi comes closer to polling day | ABP News

The mercury soared to 42.5 degrees Celsius in the national capital on Thursday, the highest temperature recorded in the city so far this summer, according to the weather office. Tourists visiting the city said that the dry heat was not something they were used to or expected. "It's really hot here but the weather is drier than Taiwan. It rains in Taiwan but weather is dry here." says Tourist. "The weather is really hot. I don't know what the temperature is; maybe it is 40 degrees plus. We have come from Pune. In Pune, temperatures are high in the day, but evenings are cooler. Here, it is dry weather, and we feel uncomfortable. The first thing we did after coming here was to buy hats and caps so that we can protect ourselves a little. We buy water bottles the entire day because we feel thirsty all the time." says another tourist.
