'We ruled India for 800 years,' Akbaruddin Owaisi stirs controversy

Amid the ongoing tensions over CAA and NRC, Asaduddin Owaisi's brother Akbaruddin Owaisi stirred a huge controversy by syaing Muslims ruled India for 800 years and that should be enough proof for those seeking papers for their identity. 
Owaisi said "We ruled for 800 years, what else proof they want of our identity. The Charminar, Taj Mahal, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Red Fort were built by our ancestors not by theirs. This nation was ours and will continue to remain ours."
