Political uproar after Shova Majumdar's death, CM Mamata attacks BJP | Report From Kolkata
Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday claimed that party worker Gopal Majumdar's mother Shova Majumdar succumbed to her injuries, a month after being allegedly attacked by some Trinamool Congress (TMC) members in Nimta area of West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district.
The unfortunate demise of the 85-year-old woman has triggered angry reactions from the party's top leaders including home minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who launched an attack on BJP over the situation, targeted the party about condition of Uttar Pradesh.
