The coronavirus cases in the country are rapidly rising. India recorded the highest single-day spike with nearly 16,000 fresh cases in the past 24 hours. Over 400 people died due to Covid-19 in a single day. 

The national capital on Wednesday witnessed a spike of 3,788 Covid-19 cases taking the total tally to 70,390 and 64 more deaths.
