Vishwesha Tirtha Swami 's demise: Three-day mourning announced in Karnataka

Karnataka government has announced a three-day mourning from December 29 to December 31, following the demise of Pejavara Mutt Seer Vishwesha Teertha Swami. State's revered Hindu pontiff passed away at Udupi in the state's coastal town on Sunday at the age of 88.The renowned seer was admitted to the private hospital on December 20 after he was diagnosed to have pneumonia, a lung infection.State Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, who was at Udupi since Saturday rushed to the Mutt on hearing about the seer's demise and announced that the seer will be laid to rest with state honours.
