India's star wrestler Vinesh Phogat has returned to India, landing at Delhi Airport around 11 a.m. Following her journey to the finals at the Paris Olympics without securing a medal, Vinesh's disappointment was evident. She became emotional upon her return, crying as she thanked her supporters. Wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik were present at the airport to welcome her. As Vinesh emerged, they embraced her, and she broke down in tears. Despite not winning a medal, Vinesh captured the hearts of many Indians, reflected in the grand reception she received at the airport. She expressed her gratitude to her fans with folded hands. Vinesh competed in the women's 50 kg wrestling event at the Paris Olympics. She defeated the previous Olympic gold medalist and World Champion in her first match and achieved impressive victories in the quarter-finals and semi-finals. However, she was disqualified on the final day for being 100 grams over the weight limit. Following her disqualification, Vinesh sought a silver medal and appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Prominent lawyer Harish Salve represented her, but the case was ultimately dismissed.
