Uttar Pradesh: 'Yogi magic worked'; BJP's BIG win in MLC Elections | ABP News
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is aiming for a sweeping majority in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections, as it leads in most of the 27 seats, despite losing the Varanasi seat to an independent candidate. The party has already secured 9 of the 36 seats in the legislature without facing any opposition. On April 9, 27 seats in the Legislative Council were polled throughout 58 districts in the state, with the results being counted today. The Congress and the BSP did not register candidates in the Legislative Council elections, leaving the BJP and the Samajwadi Party to fight it out directly.
