Sudarshan Singh, a taxi driver from Jammu, has entered the election fray for the Anantnag Rajouri Lok Sabha seat as the candidate of the National Awami United Party. Sudarshan hopes to end the drug problem in the area and also work for the economically weaker sections of society. Sudarshan Singh says "When elections come, that's when they (politicians) talk about poor people. However, no one talks about poor people otherwise. I am from a poor family and I am a poor person. I know what difficulties they face and what they need. That is why I want to do something for my driver brothers and poor people, in the remaining years of my life... and I want to make my state drug-free."
