Strict action must be taken to find culprits, says Sitaram Yechury | JNU Violence
CPI(M) gneeral secretary Sitaram Yechury on Monday condemned the violence on teachers and students in JNU and said that a strict action is required to find the culprits who barged into premises and attacked varsity people. The bigger question is why the Vice-Chancellor let all of this happen, despite police force standing at the gates.
Unprecedented violence was seen in the Jawaharlal Nehru University on Sunday as several masked individuals, both male and female, thrashed students, including girls, and teachers inside the campus with wooden and metal rods, injuring many.
