SCR To Be Formed In UP On The Lines Of Delhi NCR | ABP News

UP Cabinet Meeting Decisions: On the lines of Delhi NCR, the districts surrounding Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, will now be merged to form the State Capital Region (SCR). The way has been cleared for creating State Capital Region (SCR) in Lucknow. For this, the Yogi Adityanath government of the state has prepared the draft of the bill "State Capital Region and Other Area Authorities Bill- 2023". Also, suggestions have been sought from people on this. 6 districts will be included in SCR. Regional Development Authority will be formed under the chairmanship of CM Yogi Adityanath. In this, the Chief Secretary will be made the Vice President and the Principal Secretary of Housing and Body Planning Department will be made the convening member. This authority will prepare the regional plan of SCR. The Regional Development Authority will coordinate with its subordinates to prepare the Regional Plan as well as the Functional Plan, Master Plan, Development Plan and Project Plan. The Regional Development Authority will have the right to give instructions to the concerned local housing authorities. Objections and suggestions have been sought from the general public on the draft of the bill prepared by the Housing Department.
