SC takes Suo moto cognizance of issues of migrant labourers

Taking suo moto cognizance of the issues related to migrant labourers, Supreme Court said that the government's arrangements have proved to be insufficient. The apex court has ordered the Union government and state governments to file an answer in this regard. The Supreme Court will hear the case in this regard on 28 May.

Despite the arrangements made by the government, migrant labourers continue to walk on foot.
