BJP candidate from Puri Lok Sabha seat of Odisha, Sambit Patra, has apologized for calling Lord Jagannath a devotee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that I will fast for the next 3 days to repent. BJP leader Sambit Patra shared the video of apology on social media X around 1 am in the night and wrote, "Today, my conscience is extremely pained regarding the mistake I have made regarding Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath Ji. I bow my head at the feet of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath Ji and seek forgiveness. I will be fasting for the next 3 days to repent and rectify my mistake. He said that my tongue had slipped and that is why I made a mistake.
