River Water Enters Village As 40-Year-Old Bridge Collapses In Siwan, Bihar | ABP News
A bridge over the Gandak canal in Siwan collapsed on Saturday (June 22). A pillar of the bridge fell, and within a few minutes, the bridge was submerged in water. No casualties have been reported in the incident so far. People present at the spot recorded a video of the bridge collapse, which has since gone viral. The incident occurred in Ramgarha Panchayat of Daraunda block. Just five days ago, another bridge collapsed in Araria.
It is reported that this bridge over the Gandak canal, between Patedha and Garauli villages, is very old. The canal itself was constructed last year. Due to the bridge collapse, water from the Gandak canal entered the villages, causing damage to crops in many fields.
