Ram Vilas Paswan: Man who holds world record of winning election by highest margin
Lok Janshakti Party founder and Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan died on Thursday evening after a prolonged illness. He was 74. He was admitted to a Delhi hospital and breathed his last today. Paswan underwent heart surgery recently and was struggling with his health in the past few days.
In 1977, Paswan registered Guinness World Record by winning the election by a margin of 4.24 lakh votes. This is the maximum margin by which any leader has won an election in the world. He contested from Hajipur then.
