Police shot down Vikas Dubey in self-defence: UP ADG

Notoriuous gangster Vikas Dubey was gunned down in an encounter with Uttar Pradesh police after he tried to escape police custody on the outskirts of Kanpur. The gangster was in a car in which he was being transported from Ujjain to Kanpur which met an accident. UP AGD (Law and Order) in a press conference said that Dubey snatched gun from the cops injured in the accident and tried to runaway. A gunfight then broke out in which cops gunned down Vikas Dubey as an act of self-defence, he added.
