Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarks on a significant tour of Mumbai today, marking his first visit since the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. During this visit, PM Modi is set to unveil several major initiatives aimed at enhancing Mumbai's infrastructure and connectivity. Key highlights include the inauguration of new platforms at Lokmanya Tilak and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus stations, alongside the unveiling of projects totaling over Rs 29,000 crore in the road, railway, and port sectors. A major highlight of PM Modi's itinerary is the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Thane Borivali Tunnel Project, estimated at Rs 16,600 crore, aimed at easing congestion and improving connectivity in the region. Additionally, PM Modi is expected to attend the wedding ceremony of Mukesh Ambani's younger son, Anant Ambani, during his visit. Stringent security measures have been put in place across Mumbai in anticipation of PM Modi's visit, underscoring the significance of the occasion. The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive at the Nesco Exhibition Center in Goregaon around 5:30 pm, where he will launch multiple infrastructure projects. Subsequently, he will inaugurate the INS Towers in Bandra Kurla Complex at approximately 7 pm, underscoring the government's commitment to bolstering urban development and infrastructure in Mumbai.
